Do You Know
God Offers You
Eternal Life?
|
Do you know God offers you eternal life?
If not, your eternal future is in jeopardy.
Romans 3:23
"Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious ideal;.."
No one is perfect. All people have sinned, even famous preachers have sinned.
You are not alone.
Isaiah 53:6
"We - every one of us - have strayed away like sheep! We, who left God's
paths to follow our own. Yet God laid on Him [Jesus] the guilt and sins of
every one of us."
Both the Old Testament and the New Testament say the same thing...we are
all sinners and Jesus took our sins for us.
John 8:34
"Jesus replied, 'You are slaves of sin, every one of you.'"
Even Jesus Himself tells us of our sinful nature. He also tells us that as
sinners, we are slaves to our sin. We think we are free, but we really aren't.
Remember, these are the words of Jesus Christ, not ordinary man.
BUT
John 8:36 gives us a way out:
"So,
if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free -"
Jesus is the same today as He was then...He can and will set you free from
sin. He can and will set you free from all sorts of bondage: drugs, alcohol,
sexual immorality, violence, anger, fear, oppression, disease, you name it!
Why would you want to leave your sinful life for a new life of freedom with
Christ?
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
That is it...the payment you receive for rejecting Jesus and choosing to
remain in your sinful life is death. Its like getting paid on a job. Your
job is sin, until you know Jesus. Your paycheck is death. After you know
Jesus, your job is life, and your paycheck is ETERNAL LIFE!
In John 10:10 Jesus said,
"The thief's purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. My purpose is to
give life in all its fullness."
John 3:36
"And all who trust Him - God's Son - to save them have eternal life; those
who don't believe and obey Him shall never see heaven, but the wrath of God
remains upon them."
So, there are two ways.
-
The way of life...Jesus;
-
Or the way of death...sin.
God makes the way out of death:
John 1:12
"But to all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of
God. All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them."
When you accept Jesus Christ, you become adopted into the family of God.
God loves you very much...So much He sent His only Son to die for you, me,
everyone.
John 3:16
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone
that believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
GOD LOVES YOU!
Becoming or being a Christian is nothing to be ashamed of. Don't let those
kind of thoughts hinder you.
Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is God's powerful
method of bringing all who believe it to heaven."
God made this way for everyone, including YOU to come into His kingdom and
presence.
So, what is the Gospel? What is it that you need to believe in order to have
eternal life and be set free?
1 Corinthians 15:1,2,3,4
"Now let me remind you, brothers, of what the Gospel really is, for it
has not changed - it is the same Good News I preached to you before. You
welcomed it then and still do now, for your faith is squarely built upon
this wonderful message; and it is this Good News that saves you if you still
firmly believe it, unless of course, you never really believed it in the
first place.
I passed on to you right from the first what had been told to me, that
Christ died for our sins just as the Scriptures said He would, and that He
was buried, and that three days afterwards He arose from the grave just as
the prophets foretold."
This
is the Gospel of Christ:
-
Jesus was crucified, violently, on the cross.
-
He was buried in a borrowed tomb.
-
On the third day, He rose.
-
After being resurrected He was seen by many people.
-
Then, He ascended to the right hand of God. There He is now, praying to God
in our behalf.
Believe this Gospel, this Good News, and be saved from an eternity away from
God and all that is good.
Romans 10:9,10,13
"For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your
Lord, and believe in your own heart that God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man [or woman]
becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith,
confirming his salvation.
Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

CALL UPON THE NAME OF JESUS
Make the decision NOW to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord.
Please pray this prayer, or one of your own, from your heart:
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins, cleanse
me with Your blood. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on
the cross for my sins, were buried, and rose on the third day. Come into
my heart and heal my life, my thinking and my body. Deliver me from the bondage
of sin. Deliver me from every thing in my life that is not of You. I renounce
satan in my life and accept You, Lord Jesus, as my Savior and Lord. Thank
you, Jesus, for being Lord of my life. Amen.
