Create a "Country" Room
Creating
a "Country" room is a matter of deciding if you want the "rustic" look or
a more traditional "farm" look. For our purposes, we will create the "farm"
style of country room. Below you will find ideas, as well as products, accents
and furniture to complete the look. Use these as a guide or purchase from
our great merchants!
Country Farm Look Room:
-
Of course farm animals
are a must. You can add them by using fabrics, pillows, accents, rugs, art,
or interesting and unique furniture pieces.
Roosters and
chickens, cows, horses, pigs are some favorites. Try sticking to a theme
(like all pigs) or
mix them up for a real "barnyard" look!
Visit Hunter's Gifts
for a fine selection of country decor.
-
Choosing furniture means choosing cushy comfort! Overstuffed chairs and sofas,
puffy bedcovers or lovely
quilts invite one to settle in.
-
Fabric patterns
can range from checks, plaids, or floral prints, to ticking, stripes or country
prints. Try to coordinate your colors, using more than one pattern is fine,
IF the colors are repeated in each.
-
Don't forget baskets
to store odd items in. Try some that are lined with fabric for a nice
touch.
